Itinerario
DIA - 1 Buenos Aires – Iguazú
Traslado desde su alojamiento en la ciudad de Buenos Aires al Aeroparque J. Newbery. Recepción en Iguazú y traslado al hotel.
DIA - 2 Cataratas del Iguazú lado Argentino
Excursión a las Cataratas Lado Argentino. El recorrido comienza con el viaje en el tren Ecológico, terminando su recorrido para visitar la famosa Garganta del Diablo. Se recorre una larga pasarela hasta llegar al mirador de la Garganta, el cual ofrece unas vistas únicas e inigualables, siendo un espectáculo inolvidable. Luego se visitan tanto las pasarelas superiores como las inferiores. Tanto unas como otras ofrecen vistas especiales.
Gran Aventura El paseo continúa con la Gran Aventura y paseo en barco. Se aborda en el muelle flotante una lancha que recorrerá el cañón inferior del Rió Iguazú y bordeando la isla San Martín permite acceder al pie del salto Tres Mosqueteros, y del San Martín. Es una experiencia inolvidable. Se continua luego recorriendo la selva en vehiculo 4x4.
DIA - 3 Cataratas del lado brasilero – Represa Itaipú
Excursión a las Cataratas Brasileñas. Si bien la gran parte de los saltos se sitúan del lado argentino, la gran belleza de este espectáculo puede ser observado en su inmensidad desde el lado brasileño.
Luego de visitar las Cataratas del lado brasilero continuamos nuestro paseo visitando la Represa de Itaipú. La Central Hidroeléctrica de Itaipú es una obra conjunta de dos naciones, Brasil y Paraguay. Su construcción es una de las mayores obras de la humanidad y forma parte de la lista de las Siete Maravillas del Mundo moderno, elaborada en 1995 por la revista Popular Mechanics, de Estados Unidos cuya lista fue realizada por la American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) en 1994 entre ingenieros de los más diversos países.
La visita permite la visión panorámica de la usina, a partir del mirador central, desde donde se observa en destaque la represa y el vertedero. La estructura de hormigón fue construida para retener el curso del Río Paraná y formar el embalse de la Central. Es el punto donde están instaladas las unidades generadoras de energía eléctrica.
Podrá conocer el interior de la Central; La visión panorámica, del mirador central, es fascinante. El gigantismo de Itaipú es aún mas perceptible cuando se recorre la represa. Caminar por lo alto del paredón de concreto muestra una vista privilegiada del embalse. Dentro de él, las atracciones son la arquitectura, que recuerda la de una catedral por causa del formato cóncavo, y el antiguo lecho del río Paraná. En el Edificio de Producción, el visitante tiene la oportunidad de conocer la sala de comando central, que controla la operación de turbinas y generadores, y la enorme galería de donde se puede ver la tapa de las unidades generadoras. El giro por la represa además permite la observación del canal de fuga, por donde el agua que mueve las turbinas retorna al Río Paraná, siguiendo su curso natural.
DIA - 4 Ruinas de San Ignacio – Buenos Aires
Visitaremos las ruinas de San Ignacio Miní, una de las reducciones fundadas por los jesuitas españoles a partir del año 1554.
Las Ruinas de San Ignacio Miní constituyen un centro de peregrinación constante en la provincia de Misiones. Hoy día, las Ruinas de San Ignacio Miní son poseedoras de un importante valor en la provincia de Misiones, considerándoselas parte significante de la historia y conservándoselas como un destacable atractivo turístico. Fueron declaradas Monumento Histórico Provincial en 1969; Monumento Histórico Nacional en 1983, y Patrimonio Mundial de la Humanidad en 1984.
Según narra la historia, los sacerdotes José Cataldino y Simón Masceta habían fundado en 1610, en la región del Guayrá (Brasil), la reducción de San Ignacio Miní, junto a otras. En 1631, la mayor parte de las reducciones fueron asediadas y destruidas y sólo las de San Ignacio y Nuestra Señora de Loreto resistieron los ataques, pero en 1632 decidieron trasladarse hacia el oeste.
Pese a la organización de milicias nativas organizadas y entrenadas por los jesuitas de vocación militar, las hostilidades los llevaron a buscar nuevas ubicaciones; luego de varios desplazamientos se estableció finalmente en el sitio actual adonde se la denominó San Ignacio “Miní”, que quiere decir la menor en guaraní.
Hacia mediados del siglo XVIII la misión contaba con más de tres mil habitantes, y una rica e intensa actividad artesanal y cultural; su ubicación sobre el río Paraná favorecía el comercio con otros asentamientos de la zona. Sin embargo, en 1768, tras la expulsión de los jesuitas, fue abandonada por completo. Al igual que el resto de reducciones, fueron destruidas en 1817.
En la actualidad San Ignacio Miní es la mejor conservada de las misiones en territorio argentino. La planta de la misión es la común a la mayoría de las construidas por los jesuitas en la época: alrededor de una plaza central se distribuyen la iglesia, la Casa de los Padres, el cementerio, las viviendas y el cabildo. En la construcción de San Ignacio se empleó la piedra local, el asperón rojo, en grandes piezas. La dimensión de los trabajos ha permitido que, pese a años de deterioro, la mayor parte de los muros siga en pie. Las Ruinas Jesuíticas de la Misión de San Ignacio Miní, junto con las de Nuestra Señora de Loreto, Santa Ana y Santa María la Mayor (actualmente en Argentina) y São Miguel (Brasil) fueron declaradas Patrimonio Mundial de la Humanidad por la UNESCO en 1984. Las de Santísima Trinidad y Jesús, en Paraguay, fueron declaradas Patrimonio de la Humanidad en 1993.
Posterior a la visita a las Ruinas, traslado al aeropuerto de Posadas para tomar el vuelo de regreso a Buenos Aires. Recepción en el Aeroparque J. Newbery y traslado a su alojamiento en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires.

DAY - 1 Buenos Aires – Iguazú
Transfer to the airport of Buenos Aires. Reception and transfer from Puerto Iguazu’s airport to your accommodation.
DAY - 2 Iguazu Falls: Argentine side / the great Adventure
Today you will visit the spectacular Iguazu Falls in Argentina. The visit begins with a ride at the Ecological train ending in the amazing and world wide known as “Devils Gorge”. You will also see different views of the falls from the superior and inferior trails. You will also take a boat and get into the water to see the falls from very close and even get wet under the waters falling. This tour is named “the great adventure” and it’s an exciting joyride that you can’t miss. You will get to navigate the inferior canyon of the Iguazu River and pass close by to the San Martin Island; the ride ends in a 4x4 vehicle that will take everybody back thorough the jungle.
DAY - 3 Iguazu Falls: Brazilian side – Itaipú Dam
Today you will visit the spectacular Iguazu Falls in Brazil. Even though most of the falls are located in Argentina, the great beauty that the Brazilian side has to offer is worth a visit because of the incredible views you will see from here.
The Itaipú Hydroelectric Power Plant is a joint work of two nations, Brazil and Paraguay. Its construction is one of the greatest works of humanity and is part of the list of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World, developed in 1995 by the magazine Popular Mechanics, the United States whose list was conducted by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) in 1994 by engineers from diverse countries. The visit allows a panoramic view of the plant, from central vantage point, from where you stand on the dam and spillway. The concrete structure was built to hold the course of the Paraná River to form the reservoir of the plant. This is the point where they are installed electricity generating units.
You can see the inside of the Central; The panoramic view of the central viewpoint is fascinating. The greatness of Itaipu is even more noticeable when you look down the dam. Walking along the top of the concrete wall shows a privileged view of the reservoir. Inside, the attractions are the architecture, reminiscent of a cathedral because of the concave form, and the old bed of the river Paraná. In the Production Building, visitors have the opportunity to visit the central command room, which controls the operation of turbines and generators, and the huge gallery where you can see the top of the generating units. The shift by the dam also allows observation of the outflow channel through which water moves turbines back to the Parana River, following its natural course.
DAY - 4 San Ignacio Ruins – Buenos Aires
We will visit San Ignacio Miní Ruins one of the reductions founded by the Spanish Jesuits in 1554.
The ruins of San Ignacio Mini are a constant pilgrimage center in the province of Misiones. Today, the ruins of San Ignacio Mini are holders of significant value in the province of Misiones; they are considered part of significant history and prominent conservatives as a tourist attraction. It was declared Provincial Monument in 1969 a National Historic Monument in 1983, and World Heritage Site in 1984.
As the story goes, the priests José Cataldino and Simon Masceta founded in 1610, in the region of Guayrá (Brazil), the reduction of San Ignacio Mini, along with others. In 1631, the bulk of the reductions were besieged and destroyed, and only those of San Ignacio and Nuestra Senora de Loreto resisted the attacks, but in 1632 decided to move westward.
Despite the native militia organization organized and trained by the Jesuit military vocation, hostilities led them to seek new locations, after several trips eventually settled on the current site where it was called San Ignacio "Mini", which means the lowest in Guarani
By the mid eighteenth century the mission had more than three thousand inhabitants and a rich and intense craft and cultural, its location on the river Paraná favoured trade with other settlements in the area. However, in 1768, after the expulsion of the Jesuits, was dropped entirely. Like the rest of reductions, were destroyed in 1817.
Today San Ignacio Mini is the best preserved of the missions in Argentina. The plan of the mission is common to most of those built by the Jesuits at the time: around a central plaza are distributed the church, the Casa de los Padres, cemetery, housing and council. In the construction of San Ignacio was used local stone, the red sandstone in large pieces. The dimension of the work has meant that, despite years of deterioration, most of the walls remain standing. Jesuit Ruins of the Mission of San Ignacio Mini, along with those of Our Lady of Loreto, Santa Ana and Santa María la Mayor (currently in Argentina) and São Miguel (Brazil) were declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1984. The Holy Trinity and Jesus, in Paraguay, were declared a World Heritage Site in 1993.
After the excursion you will head to the airport to take the flight back to Buenos Aires. Reception at the airport. Transfer to your hotel in Buenos Aires.
